Static.

The crashing waves beneath him;                                                                                                                                                                  like static from an old forgotten television set,                                                                                          as he tried to suffocate the demons within.

But the silence was maddening & it drowned him in the shadows.

So there he stood – lost in a fiery abyss of incurable sadness & scorned by the absence of her – – – he let go.

& he sank like an anchor bound to the sea.
