Bittersweet.

I’ve decided its time, to leave that part of me behind.

The part [destroyed] by all the

misinterpreted glances

&

misplaced words

still looming in the s p a c e between what we tried so desperately to ignore;

still haunted by the distorted memories & missed chances.

Lies fell from your lips like poison drenched thorns, soaked with all the lovely words once so carelessly whispered; piercing me with bittersweet naive, hopeless belief.

Drunk off the static, fueled by whiskey & deceit, I willfully submitted to the

 [ [ [ inevitable hangover. ] ] ]

What once I so hungrily devoured, you ripped away, suddenly & without warning or explanation — punishing me for my hapless convictions in what would’ve been, what could’ve been.

& Just like that you disappeared without a trace, ruining me —

beautifully & brutally.
